Rockstar recently released some disappointing news for Red Dead Redemption 2 fans.
Back in 2018 Rockstar Games released Red Dead Redemption 2 the sequal to Red Dead Redemption a very well respected and loved game. Upon release Red Dead Redemption 2 was said to have one of the best single player experiences of all time. Despite the game having this amazing single player experience Rockstar has done almost nothing to add to it over the years. They have solely been focused on Red Dead Online.
Rumors and reports have been floating around since release claiming that new single-player DLC was going to come out. While that may have been true at the time it definitely doesn’t seem to be the case now.
During a recent interview a Rockstar Games dev confirmed that there is not any single-player DLC for Red Dead Redemption 2 currently being worked on. When asked about the future of the games and if it were possible for single-player DLC in the future, Rockstar dev Tarek Hamad responded by saying that the team was solely focused on Red Dead Online.
“Right now the team is focused on building on top of and into the world of Red Dead Online” said Hamand speaking to Games Radar.
Sadly this means that Rockstar Games has no interest in further developing the single-player story and that is that. This is good news for those who enjoy Read Dead Online though!
