Netflix subscribers with older Samsung TV’s and Roku devices will have to upgrade to continue watching their favorite shows.
Starting on December 1st, certain older TV’s and Roku devices will stop working due to “technical limitations.”
Netflix hasn’t released a statement on why the devices are being disconnected but Engadget says if your Roku can’t auto play the next episode it’s probably about to be on the chopping block. This is one of the key features that Netflix relies on to keep it’s users watching.
A spokesperson for Roku informed Digital Trends that the Roku 2050X, Roku 2100X, Roku 2000C, Roku HD Player, Roku SD Player, Roku XR Player and Roku XD Player are among the Roku devices that will be affected. A complete list has not been released yet.
